Samir Mondal was born in Bengal graduated from the Govt. Art College in 1975. Mondal’s most important contribution to the art of his generation is a sustained revival of water colour. His works can be found in many private collections in India and abroad. He has had over 23 solo shows and participated in a no. group shows.
